Our House

  The Sunset House is located at 3746 St. Paul Boulevard. The house, built in 1906 by the Klem family, is owned by the Lutheran Church of Resurrection. They graciously lease it to Sunset House for $1.00 a year.

   Before opening in 1990, the configuration of the house was fully renovated by volunteers to become the 2-Resident Bed home that it is today. On the first floor you will find 2 spacious and very warm bedrooms. There is a full bathroom between the 2 rooms that can be used by the residents. The kitchen and a small sitting room are also on the first floor.

   On the second floor, you will find a large living room where family and friends can relax while their loved one is resting. There are accommodations for visitors, including bedrooms for family members who wish to stay overnight. These include a bedroom and a bathroom on the second floor and 2 additional beds in a bedroom on the third floor. We encourage family members to stay overnight to be closer to their loved one.

     Outside you will find a large front porch and a stone patio in the back. On nice days, the resident and their loved ones can enjoy sitting in the warm sun while admiring the beautiful gardens.
